Q. What is Wolves Day of Giving?

Wolves Day of Giving is a day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Wolves Day of Giving is an initiative of Western Connecticut State University.

Q. When is Wolves Day of Giving?

Wolves Day of Giving is on Feb 20, 2025 from 12:01 AM to midnight.

Q. Is it safe to make my gift online?

Absolutely. Wolves Day of Giving utilizes a technology called GiveGab that is PCI Level 1-compliant. Credit card information will not be stored and is not accessible to GiveGab. The contact information you provide to Western Connecticut State University will remain private and secure.

Q. Is there a minimum gift amount?

Western Connecticut State University Foundation is accepting gifts of $5 or more during Wolves Day of Giving.

Q. What if I can't make my donation online on February 20, 2025?

If you are unable to make an online gift on the day, Thursday, February 20, 2025, you can send in a gift by mail which must be postmarked on or before Wolves Day of Giving.

Make your check payable to: WCSU Foundation and add “WDG 2025” in the Notes section. Your gift will be added as an offline gift and will be counted in the final totals.

Q. Why can't I find a fund?

Not all active WestConn funds are available today. Wolves Day of Giving offers several options that support every area of campus. If you don't find a desired fund via the search option or listed on a unit’s page, type "Other areas" into the search bar. By selecting this option, an open field displays during the gift process which allows you to enter a description of where you'd like to donate.

Q. How do I make multiple gifts?

Start by selecting the first fund that you would like to support. Once selected, enter a gift amount and use the search bar to find a second fund. Then enter the amount you wish to allocate to that fund and click Next or continue adding funds.

Q. Is my Day of Giving contribution tax-deductible?

Gifts to support Western Connecticut State University Foundation are tax-deductible as allowed by law. After making a gift, you will receive an email confirmation that will serve as your receipt for tax purposes. Please consult your tax adviser if you have questions.

Q. Do I need to create an account with GiveGab?

No. You do not need to create an account to make a donation. The benefits of creating an account include having your tax receipts collected in one location, being able to track your donations, follow the charities you support, and engage in future volunteering and donations. Your tax receipt is emailed immediately upon processing your donation. To claim a donation as a deduction on U.S. taxes, you should retain the donation receipt as an official record.

Yes! Simply visit wolvesgivingday.wcsu.edu on your mobile device.
